Introduction to 3D Printing

Are you a UVic student or Staff member and want to use the 3D printers in the Digital Scholarship Commons? If so, then this hands-on workshop will prepare you to submit print jobs to our 3D printers. Once you’ve completed this session you’ll be ready to print a model you’ve created, or downloaded from the web.

Before attending the orientation, please watch the two video’s, install the 3D print software on your laptop, and take the per-orientation quiz, so that you can be prepared for the hands-on exercises during the orientation (this will take less than 20 minutes): Pre-Class videos and exercises.

Note: Student must take this workshop before they are permitted to submit print jobs to the DSC 3D printers.
